IN HELPING OTHERS WE HELP OURSELVES
One of the visions of L.O.V.E. is to engage women and children who have been abused in helping others. It is one of the best ways to empower yourself when you can help another overcome as well.
LOCALLY
Here on Maui, L.O.V.E. would like to find out the individual exercise preferances of the women and children and get them the tools and opportunities they need to pursue those activities.
We would also like to bring positivity and empowerment to them in many forms. (i.e. self defense classes, Zumba classes, motivational speaking , emotionally supportive animals etc).
L.O.V.E. was started as a grass roots project in New Mexico and Colorado where bikes were donated to shelters and outpatient groups and the women and children were taught to ride. A trail was also built at one of the shelters in New Mexico to give the women and children a safe place to bike and hike.
